My love for cooking and baking ironically started when I was diagnosed as gluten intolerant and dairy intolerant in 2013. There was something about the challenge of creating gluten free and dairy free versions of old favourites that utterly intrigued me and evolved into a serious passion about healthy and wholesome eating. As I have a full-time day job along with being mummy to a wonderful daughter, creating recipes that are quick, easy and fuss-free is always key.
While it is very easy in Australia to access gluten free products, most of the things labelled “gluten free” in the supermarket contain a lot of processed ingredients, sugar and fat – and that is not healthy! My quest is to create meals, snacks and baked goods that love you back and nourish your body and mind from the inside out. I limit sugar and processed ingredients as much as possible, and I have recently embarked on a plant-based lifestyle – for my health and for our planet. In the archives you will still find recipes that are not vegan, but most can be veganised. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions on how to veganise a recipe.
I want to provide help to others on their road to a healthier, cruelty-free life and share my healthy experiments (those that were successful). My blog is called “No worries cooking and baking” because that is exactly what it is – cooking and baking without having to worry about your health or that a living being was harmed. It also means easy and fuss-free recipes that come together easily and (mostly) don’t require obscure ingredients. Yay to no gluten, no dairy, no cruelty – no worries!
